Webcam for the RECAN software
2025-06-01
The RECAN software allows now the recording of videos synchronized with the cardio-respiratory signals acquired from medical devices. The recording of the videos is performed using a webcam with the possibility of infrared mode when luminosity is low.

New validation of the CARDEAN™ index
2020-10-06
The CARDEAN™ index version 4.0 (EKG + pulse oxymetry) was validated for the titration of an opioid (sufentanil) during an orthopedic surgery. The study was performed in the Military Hospital Desgenettes, Bron: "A beat by beat cardiovascular index, CARDEAN, to titrate opioid administration in the setting of orthopaedic surgery: a prospective randomized trial (J Clin Monit Comput. 2021 Dec;35(6):1311-1324. doi: 10.1007/s10877-020-00597-6. Epub 2020 Oct 6. PMID: 33025323).

Validation of the RECAN software in newborns
2019-11-30
The RECAN software was tested for measuring heart rate variability in newborns: the SDNN index computed automatically by the RECAN software was compared to the SDNN index computed by a Holter device (RECAN Software Reliability Assessment for Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Analysis in a French Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), p. 1729. Eur J Pediatr 178, 1613–1800 (2019). https://doi.org/10.1007/s00431-019-03466-w).

CARDEAN™: validation in burn patients
2017-07-14
The CARDEAN software was validated in a clinical trial performed in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Burn Unit, St-Louis-Lariboisière Hospital, Paris. This study showed that the CARDEAN index is correlated to the clinically observed pain experienced by burn patients. Publication: Heart rate variability and cardiac baroreflex inhibition-derived index predicts pain perception in burn patients, Burns, 42 (2016), 1445-1454.

CARDEAN™: validation in orthopedic surgery
2013-09-05
The CARDEAN™ index was validated for the improvement of intra-operative cardiovascular stability in patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. The results of this study will be presented at the French National Anesthesia Meeting SFAR 2013, September 19, Paris.

CARDEAN™: validation in abdominal surgery
2011-10-16
The CARDEAN™ index was validated for the improvement of intra-operative cardiovascular stability in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. The results of this study were presented at the French National Anesthesia Meeting SFAR 2011, September 22, Paris and at the American Society of Anesthesiologists Meeting ASA 2011, October 16, Chicago.

Validation of the CARDEAN™ index in spinal surgery
2010-09-22
The CARDEAN™ index was validated for the detection of intra-operative pain in patients undergoing spinal surgery. The results of this study will be presented at the French National Anesthesia Meeting SFAR 2010, September 23, Paris and at the American Society of Anesthesiologists Meeting ASA 2010, October 19, San Diego.
